Program Status

The Math Fact Fun platform is presently being evaluated as a means of facilitating school-based math learning research. At present, few free-and-open-source tools exist for math learning in schools and the Math Fact Fun platform is being evaluated as a means of addressing this need. At present, involvement with the platform is by invitation only.

Current goals for the platform consist of:

  • Exploring options for adjusting instructional dose and content to optimize learning outcomes
  • Expanding Tier I/Tier II math instruction using technology (i.e., matching skills to instruction methods)
  • Leveraging Machine Learning to guide teacher-/coach-led intervention (individual and group)
  • Intervention comparisons for novel intervention approaches (e.g., Taped Problems interventions)
  • Various methodological expansions and comparisons related to instructional practice for math facts

If you are interested in participating in the evaluation of the Math Fact Fun platform you may contact Dr. Shawn Gilroy, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Louisiana State University, to discuss the possibility of participating in the evaluation of the platform.
